Good eyesight is every child’s passport to the future. Yet it’s easy for parents to think there’s nothing wrong with their child’s sight, not realising that vision can change quickly. Also some children may not recognise they have a visual problem.

All children’s eye examinations are FREE on the NHS and our optometrists will be delighted to look at your child’s eyes no matter how young.  It is not necessary for a child to know the alphabet to allow us to assess the health of their eyes and quality of vision.

Annual eye examinations for children are recommended but if you suspect something is wrong with your child’s eyesight, you should make an appointment with us as soon as possible, regardless of when they might be due.

If spectacles are required they are available to children completely FREE of charge. You can upgrade frame design, offering flexibility, durability and comfort. Thinner, lightweight, and reflection-free lenses are all possible. We offer FREE glasses to children and while they are in full time education.

Repairs and replacements are FREE of charge to all children aged under sixteen years of age.
