If you are a new patient, first eye appointments last about 40-45 minutes and should be a relaxing and informative experience.
We request you please bring your glasses and any old spare pairs. In addition we please ask contact lens wearers to come in wearing your lenses and if possible, to bring a sample of the packaging so we are sure what you are wearing. A copy of your current prescription would also be very beneficial.
A typical eye exam lasts from 20 – 45 minutes.
Our highly trained optometrist team use the latest OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) scanners and Optomap. Optomap is the only exam that captures more than 80% of your retina in one panoramic image.
FREE local delivery and fitting of spectacles to the elderly or infirm. We can accommodate home visits for the housebound on request.

If you have been referred by a GP or hospital, we request you please bring the referral letter and / or additional references provided by them.
We are a family friendly practice and welcome children of all ages. We take pride in accommodating group family appointments and realise the benefit of “same day” family appointments.
We also have a selection of toys, books and games within our reception area – enough to occupy a wee one waiting for a parent or guardian. Our Optometrists are experienced and patient and will do their very best to ensure the appointment runs smoothly and efficiently.
